Leopard & Up

  • Launch the System Preferences


  • Select the Sharing preferences


  • Enable Screen Sharing or
    Remote Management


  • Enable VNC [...] with password:
    in the Computer Settings… sheet and enter a password. Settings for Remote Management are presented differently but remain the same.


  • Open TouchPad and tap the Settings Button on the upper right


  • Tap the Detail Disclosure Button for the computer you want to connect to


  • Tap on the Password to set the VNC Server Password


  • Type your Password and tap Done


  • Go back to the Server List and tap on the Computer to connect


Tiger

  • Launch the System Preferences

  • Select the Sharing preferences


  • Enable Apple Remote Desktop


  • Enable VNC viewers may control screen with password: in the Access Privileges… sheet and enter a password


  • Open TouchPad and tap the Network Button on the upper right


  • Tap the Detail Disclosure Button for the computer you want to connect to


  • Tap on the Password to set the VNC Server Password


  • Type your Password and tap Done


  • Go back to the Server List and tap on the Computer to connect
